A Pleasant Surprise and Random Thoughts

I'm happy to find that the internet connection here is, for now, much faster than it has been and so I'm able to get on the web this week.

We had a great trip up with very few problems. We left NC at 10am on Tuesday and drove to South Carolina to have dinner with some dear friends of ours whom we don't get to see nearly enough. That was a good way to break up the trip and we left about 9pm and drove the rest of the way through the night.

Since this is such a short stay (we'll be here a week), I didn't really bring projects like I usually do - I'm just planning to take these few days to clean out my things here and help get everything ready for the party Saturday. We have a lot to do!

And now for something completely different -
For months I've been enjoying looking at a site called Vintage Glam Weddings. The woman who runs it has been posting about unique, mostly beautiful weddings for years and they've been so much fun to sift through. She's now started a new site called Ruffled and is slowly moving all the stuff from the old site onto it. If you like looking at wedding pictures and getting good ideas, this is a great place to go.
